This week, we were cleaning out the SMV dungeon and found some very old (and very incredible) sketches from Marko. Knowing Marko however, we knew that within all of that goodness, it wouldn't be long before we were going to find PLENTY of disturbing, dysfunctional and certifiably deranged designs, revealing the inner workings of an unsound mind (...among other things).
"Loco", "Psychotic", "Crazy", "Maniacs" are all words that get thrown around when people talk about us here. We just say FUCKED UP!!
We've got a bit of a treat today. Whilst going through the SMV dungeon (...What? Every studio has one, no?) we found some of Marko's (very) old sketches and scribbles!
For those of you who don't know, Marko stays true to his roots and still starts every sketch with pen and paper. It's a pretty rare habit these days but awesome for us to be able to hold (and later steal and post) his work.
He might hate these sketches now -and us for posting them- but we think they're friggin' awesome! Stay tuned for more treasures from our dungeon cleaning session.
Our (incredibly talented) friend Salaryman, a.k.a: Calum Watt, dropped by the SMV studio today.
Needless to say we were all super excited that he was coming by and we knew we'd get a chance to check some of his new work. Unfortunately, we can't show it to you guys but our faces (and the short distance between us, and the computer screen) should give you some indication of it's sheer awesome-ness.
Perhaps we have been a little misleading in the past, with the intentions of our "Fucked up Fridays" sessions so allow us to explain:
"Fucked Up Fridays" is not intended to onlybe about the questionable, deep-seated (...ok, ok fine, "borderline insane") inner workings of our combined sexual psyches. It is also intended to display the questionable and borderline insane (...happy now?!) inner workings of our everyday combined personalities.
Bottom line: We work too hard and sleep too little to remain "sane" people.
This week, we were talking about Human Centipedes - as one does- and what that would look like. We couldn't agree. The only thing left to do was to try it out.
What do William Shatner, Nicolas Cage and Marko Djurdjevic have in common? Nothing really, but according to German TV station, ZDFneo, they're all shining examples of a real Man. Originally aired on 1st March, ZDFneo spent a day at the SMV studio to study Marko in hopes of answering the question, "What makes a man, a man?"
For our non-German speaking viewers, here's a quick run-down of what's going on:
Traditional gender roles are unclear today, in times after women's emancipation. So what does make a man, a man in today's times? Find out in this reportage about "softies, hooligans and role models" (... yeah we're not sure about that description either but whatev's!). Other "Manly Men" showcased were German actor Lars Eidinger, Nicolas Cage and William Shatner.
Celebrating the return of the "Retrosexual" man. We've missed him.
Seeing as we were all ill last week, it seems only fair to give you a little something extra this week, no? In continuation with our recent (as yet, unpunished) crime wave, our latest heist comes straight from our environment master's sketch book.
In addition to being French (don't judge him), Yohann is also a dedicated wanderer so we couldn't pass up the chance to bring you around the world with some of the sketches from his travels. This week, we take you to Italy. But we almost scanned his entire sketch book so there will be more to come.
Sorry Yohann, but we just couldn't help ourselves.
