DEGENESIS: REBIRTH EDITION OUT NOW!!!

As you may have seen already, we've just launched our first internal IP: "DEGENESIS: Rebirth Edition. "

This is the reason that we've been "M.I.A" ("Missing In Action", not the singer from London) for so long. We've been working on this labour of love for just over two years now.  Sorry, I meant, "two LOOOOOOONG years!"

We've put an incredible amount of love into this so please feel free to get lost into our world.

JUST ANOTHER DAY AT THE OFFICE

Hey Guys,

Many of you have asked us how we do, what we do. We always try to come up with answers that make us sound "professional" but the truth is... we're kinda not sure.

Today however, thanks to our dear friends at Metal Hammer, we finally have some answers for you (...and ourselves for that matter).

Remember waaaay back when we posted about the kick-ass Slipknot-Metal Hammer collabo we did? Well, here's the "making of" video for you which pretty much sums up how we do it.

LIFE DRAWING WITH ANDREW JONES!!!

AHMAGAD!!!!!

Soooo, yesterday's Life drawing session was thunderstruck by the one and ONLY, Andrew (F$%#ING-BADASS) Jones!!! We know, we know: first “Lord Parel” then Jonesy!?! Who's next!?!

But yes, fresh from “down under” (...let's keep it clean here, shall we folks!), we caught him on a stop-over back to his motherland... and we love him all the more for it! 

In sadder news: Emily has now found an accomplice in her whiteboard madness. We knew she'd try something tricky but we would've never expected... MATJOSH! Yes that witch has recruited the most innocent of souls in her continuing war crimes against the sighted! They even did a “collaboration” (...pfff! More like, “Abomination!”). MJ, how could you?!

LIFE DRAWING PT. II

WE'RE OFICIALLY OBSESSED WITH LIFE DRAWING!!

Round two commenced last night and we're now officially "on a roll" with another fantastic session! Even more new faces to go with our lovely regulars, more drinking and broken glasses, awesome everything! We even had our beloved french wonder Gerald Parel in on the "sesh" - although, he did spend most of his time drinking (that's our man!).

The only unfortunate incident was yet another one of Emily's Crap-tastic whiteboard designs! Have no fear, she's going to be banned from future sessions.

NEW WORK (FINALLY)

FINALLY!
Now we know we're always going on (and on) about the cool shit we're doing here and whining about how "we can't show you it yet!!" (blah blah blah). We know we sound like a bunch of pussies so before you call us a WAAAmbulance, here you go...

A few weeks ago saw the release of "Avengers Initiative". A sweet little ipad game coming from WIDELOAD GAMES. SMV has provided the concepts and scene paintings for the different installments throughout last year.
(More is yet to come my loves so stay tuned.....)

THE INCREDIBLE GERALD PAREL JOINS SMV

...And we're back!

SO Sorry about the delay Guys! Look, I know we've said this before but this time we're a little more sincere than before. We've been super crazy busy with moving into our new studio and all the terrible shit that can go along with it but we're back now and will be attending to our beloved blog on the regular again. 

Now, Are you sitting down?! Are you ready for your mind to be blown!?

The indestructible, French powerhouse that is, Monsieur Gerald Parel, is indeed joining his new band of brothers (and sisters) here on the SMV team! I know, I know...just breathe!

The man has had a massive career in the comic industry. He is creative like no other, paints like a Muuh'Fukkah and is faster than the Concorde. He also paints women so beautifully that our (formerly) straight SMV sisters are now officially, "Bi-Curious" (...and isn't that always exciting?!). On a personal level however, he's funnier than you'd think any artist could be, kinder than most human beings and his alcohol tolerance level makes us proud (...Sigh! Could he be more perfect!?). Our schoolgirl crush has just been elevated to obsession!

Yes, "Le Parel", the man himself. Not just his name, or doppelgänger. The real deal is officially SMV family. Our collective boner for Gerald has been strong for quite some time now (...can you blame us?) so you can only imagine how excited we are to have him with us.
